Little Bit of Nothing
I've seen worse...

Tuesday, July 31, 2007

For those interested, my c-section this Friday has been moved up to 7am instead of 7:30am. That means I can have visitors anytime after 9am. I'm pretty sure we will be there until Monday morning. Please come and see us over the weekend. We will be at Deaconess Gateway Women's Hospital - the one by I-164.

Apparently there's a rumor going around that I am not as unphotogenical as I claim. I'll swallow my pride to prove a point.

This is the last time I will be pregnant (4 days left). I'm scared I will forget what it was like. I have only a couple of pictures total from the other two pregnancies so I wanted a few good pictures this time to help me remember. But I am one of the least photogenic people I know. Really. I take very bad pictures...except when Todd Burnett takes them. It's good to have friends with skills. So the Burnetts came over yesterday to help me out. We took some pictures at the Overlook here in Newburgh. I had no idea this place existed but I plan to go back. It's nice there (if you don't get stung by a wasp, poor Kristina). Here are a few of my favorites.

For anybody who reads my blog and not Angela's (I doubt it, Miss 30 Comments Per Entry), please check out little Madelyn on her blog. There's a link on the side over there...to the right.

I just got back from a doctors appointment. This one was cool. We had our 4D ultrasound.

She has her left hand on her forehead. Under her chin is her umbilical cord just above her right arm that's crossed over. I hope you can see the detail.

Willow now weighs about 6 lbs, 9 oz. Gaining about a half a pound per week for the remainder of the pregnancy puts her right around 8 pounds at delivery. Our C-section is still scheduled for August 3rd at 7:30am. I'm not dilated at all. No sign in that area that I'm even pregnant. That's pretty much the case with the last two, hence the c-section.

Here is the video of the ultrasound. It's 7 minutes long.

A follow up article on Andy Hillstrand:

(I'm starting to wonder if the local reporters use English as a second language.)

Jason, the kids and I have watched Deadliest Catch on the Discovery channel for years. We love that show despite its redundancy. We love the guys on the show. One of the ships is called the Time Bandit and the captains are two brothers, Jonathan and Andy Hillstrand. They take turns: Jonathan does the king crab and Andy does the opilio crab season. I just saw a local article stating that Andy lives in Chandler, Indiana. How is this the first we are hearing of this? It's not even a good article. (Lex Luther's from Newburgh and we didn't hear the end of that. I've never even seen Smallville.)

I haven't been very good at posting pictures on this blog. So here are a few of my favorites from the last few months:

Abby reading to Papaw and Luke

The turtle we found in the backyard (it must have hopped the fence)

Abby reading to Luke after an afternoon on the trampoline with the sprinkler

A visit to the zoo with the Schmuckers (Luke, Hannah S., Gabe S., Abby, Rachel S. and James S.)
