Apparently kids can sleep through regular smoke alarms but are more apt to wake up with a familiar voice...

I think my kids would wake up better with an alarm than my voice but what I like about this alarm is that I could record instructions for the kids like, "There's a fire in the house. Get up and get outside now..."
