I think I want a "green burial". It may seem hippy at first but it really makes the most sense.
"Putting bodies in a waterproof, permanent container protected from the environment, it's ridiculous." I originally wanted to be cremated, but: "Even cremation typically costs more than $1,000 -- and it has its environmental downside: Cremation uses energy and releases dioxin and mercury (up to 6 grams a body) while preventing nutrients in bodies from enriching the land." If there aren't any legitimate burial places like this around here, then let it be said right now that I wish to just be buried as is (but dead) out in the country some where and forget about it. If you want to "visit" me, just read my old blog archives. Posted by: Laura @ 7/12/2006 12:57:00 PM
