Little Bit of Nothing
I've seen worse...

Monday, June 27, 2005

I just got contacts yesterday. I've had glasses since 1995 but I never wear them. I hate them. I'm nearsighted with astigmatism. So I get by with squinting. But now I'm amazed. It's so cool to be able to see. I see better with the contacts than with the glasses anyway. In fact, I think the doctor said I would be 20/15 or somthing. I love it. I was amazed that it went so well putting them in and taking them out for the first time. God answered that prayer because I couldn't have done it otherwise. I was scared. But today is my second day and I'm already getting used to them. Because of the astigmatism they aren't round like normal. They have to sit a certain way so they have weights in them to help them settle. That makes them slightly less comfortable but I assume I will get completely used to that. I'm looking forward to going to church and seeing the screne and recognizing people who are smiling at me down the hall. I can read signs. I can see leaves on trees that are far away. It's amazing. I would like to thank Quantum for the health savings account that made it possible. Otherwise I would have never spent the money on myself. It's all good.
