I'm starting to shop like my mom. She used to tell me Marshall's clothes fell apart so she wouldn't buy them. I kept on buying there as a teenager because it was cheap. Then I got sick of how the clothes fell apart. So she was right there. So now I have kids to shop for. I used to go to Once Upon a Child (when there are no garage sales). Just went there today. Well, I'm sick of how worn out the clothes are and there's not much to pick from as the kids get older. So after I left there frustrated I decided I would give Old Navy another try. I used to shop there a lot for Abby because the clothes were bright and fun and cheap. Well, the past year or two it's all been 70's clothes and fleece with "OLD NAVY" written over every inch. Each time I'm disappointed. I was about to head home (because I hate the mall) when I had the urge to go to JC Penney's. That's my mom's store. She used to take me there all the time when I was younger. I thought it was an old woman's store. But I went anyways. Upstairs I found a ton of cool clothes for Abby. The coolest stuff was a little too big, but there was plenty in her size and it was all on sale 50% off. So she got a bunch of new clothes for about the same price as the used stuff at Once Upon a Child. I was so pleased with myself because, frankly, I'm a crappy shopper. The down side was that there wasn't anything in Luke's size there. It was infant or toddler. He's in 18 months. But a good note for Once Upon a Child, I got Luke a nice winter coat for $10 that looks new and a new winter hat and mittens at Old Navy (I was squeezing his 12-18 mo head into a 3-6 mo hat). So anyways, thanks mom and thank you JC Penney. We'll shall meet again. ( I can't believe I'm talking about shopping. Spending money hurts me.)
