Little Bit of Nothing
I've seen worse...

Another doctors appointment today. I'm 38 weeks and 3 days (out of 40 for you non-baby types). Dr. Leinenbach did notice a slight difference, but only fingertip (not quite 1 centimeter) dilated. Still only 25% effaced. I'm in no hurry for labor to get here because Luke is small and I want him to be just right when he comes out. But, it's normal to start dilating by now (but not necessary). I do not want another c-section. At all. Seriously.

Nothing new to say, all the same.

I'm feeling a bit better today. So what if I'm not dilated. I've got time. I'm only 37 weeks. It's Friday. Walmart is done. The weather is dark and wet. For someone with nowhere to go, it's actually kind of soothing, especially with candles lit. I'm looking forward to the women's conference tomorrow at CFC. It's about time to do some Christmas shopping. Funny how being on a budget may mean we spend less this year, but to me it will be financially the best Christmas since Jason and I got married. My attitude about money has changed so much the past year. I'm just in a rare good mood. I'll be depressed all over again if I haven't dilated by my next exam on Monday. Oh yeah, and I've been shopping for Operation Christmas Child. That always cheers me up. No offers yet on the leaf blower. That leads me to believe that only Jason reads my blog.

I wish I could say something positive. I'm a little depressed. I really have my hopes set on delivering vaginally. (Don't giggle at that word.) So far signs aren't good. Luke is small and I'm closed tight. I'm farther behind than with Abby at this point. My body just isn't good at this making babies thing. But I feel like a schmuck to complain. I will have a baby in a few weeks no matter how he gets out.
