Little Bit of Nothing
I've seen worse...

Friday, June 20, 2003

I went to the baby doctor today. I heard the heartbeat. That was actually the first time I had heard it because last time she couldn't find it and we had an ultrasound. After seeing the baby, hearing it didn't do much for me. I want to see it again. I hate calling it an it. It's a person. It's already a boy or girl. It has all it's parts. It moves around and sucks it's thumb. I just want to know if it's a he or she and give him or her a name. In due time...July 18th to be exact. That's when we have the revealing ultrasound.

Jason and I decided to get rid of our cable for a little while. Abby will lose some of her best friends, but it's for the best. She had grown far too attached to the television. Plus, Jason and I might actually get some things done and possibly spend more time together. That could be good or bad. I guess there's always Yahtzee.

Jason asked me how to spell something and I actually remembered how. I'm back, baby!

Hey, I'm feeling a bit better. Funny, I'm also feeling a lot fatter. Could the two be coincidental or simply cause and effect? I'll take fat over sick any day. It doesn't matter where I go, I'm always looking for a place to sit down. I get up from one seat to find the next one. I can only mow one half of the yard a day. But I don't throw up. Life's a compromise.

I've been on a V8 kick lately. I'm sure everybody can relate...I like the hot and spicy kind. I hope my sodium levels don't kill me.

Jason and I watched Old School last night. Too many boobies. I must be getting old or weird or something because I was mad that Jason saw so many breasts. (Nice ones, Jason can look at yuck ones, unless he likes them) It wasn't his fault and he tried to avoid them by averting his eyes, but the fact remains that he saw them and those images are going to be ingrained in his memory. If it were normal for a woman to be "stimulated" by just looking penises, would guys mind their wives watching "chick flicks"? Funny, I've watched 2 movies with male frontal nudity and managed to miss it both times. (Super Troopers and Any Given sunday). Alright, I feel dirty now.

Hi. Jason told me to write like I'm writing to myself. The problem with that is I already know everything I know so why write it down. I'm not big on journaling. I like thinking someone else is possibly reading this. This brings up the whole new question, does the person who is reading this know what's happened up until I got my blog? Does he or she care? I'll assume you do. Welcome to my blog. I am somebody now.

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and I still have morning sickness (all day sickness). God willing, this is my last baby. If it's a girl I may have to eat those words. Since I've been pregnant, I've been dumber than a box of rocks. I suffer from a severe case of apathy. The house doesn't get cleaned much. Poor Abigail doesn't get played with much. I've heard the 2nd trimester is a special time when a pregnant woman feels great and is very productive. I'm still waiting for that to kick in. Jason has been great. He does a lot for me and Abby and he puts up with my incessant complaing and paranoid accusations that he will leave me for a younger, less pregnant woman. I miss normal life.

Abby has been psycho toddler lately. She goes from laughing to crying to laughing again without taking a breath. I think it's cabin fever, or she's just insane, as we all suspected.

I'll try to be funnier next time.
